Grove Road Park, South Park

Grove Road Park is a sweet little neighborhood playground. Not too big, not too small…it has everything kids of many ages need to have a fun day playing outdoors!

Grove Road Park, South Park

This playground is divided into four different areas; a toddler area, a big kid area, a swing area, and a picnic area.

This playground features:

  • a toddler structure with low climbing platforms, two ladders, rock wall, and a slide.
  • a larger structure with steps, monkey bars, poles, and two slides (one twisting, one short and straight).
  • a swing set with one infant swing and three regular swings
  • a covered picnic pavilion
  • street parking only

My thoughts on this playground:

  • There was an infant swing, so my son (now 8 months old!) was pleased.  5 out of 5 stars from him.
  • My toddler really enjoyed the toddler area.  It had enough novel features to entertain her.  Plus, when she did explore the bigger area she wasn’t very impressed.  She was happy to play in her age-appropriate spot.  However, she wanted to swing with her brother but couldn’t because there was only one swing.  3 out of 5 stars from her.
  • I think this is a nice neighborhood park.  It has something for all ages with room to run and play.  There were kids riding bikes around the whole time we were playing, so it was nice to see kids actually using the park!  If you live nearby check it out, but we probably won’t make a special trip back.  I think older kids would probably be a little bored, too.  3 out of 5 stars from me!
